Original German army (Bundeswehr) rucksack

Description

Original issued rucksack from the German army. Has the typical buckles that enable straps to be rolled up. These daypacks can hold the German army foldable sleeping pad in a special designed pouch inside the bag. In this way the bag also gets some rigidity in it.

The original German army version has special designed fast release buckles that can be used to roll up the loose ends of the strap. Modern reproduction versions of this bag just used standard fast release buckles that doesn’t have this function.

This particular rucksack is the version with the hip belt and rubberized bottom.

Size: Main compartment 41 x 30 x 20 cm plus two side pouches 25 x 14 x 5 cm each.

Weight: 1,05 Kg.

Condition: Used item but in good usable state. The bag is repaired at 3 different tiny spots. Most likely already done during its service time in the army (see pictures). Also the type label inside the bag is frayed at one end (see picture). The colour of the canvas is fading. On one hand not very appealing but it contributes to the vintage look.
