Dutch army sting backpack

Description

One of the earliest productions of this backpack model in the Dutch DPM woodland camouflage pattern originally made by Lowe Alpine itself. Later they were produced under licence by Belgium company ARWY.

This model is the original Lowe Alpine Sting. It is a model with 2 detachable side pouches aka rocket pouches. These can be zippered into a small day-pack. Special shoulder straps are needed for doing so (Not included with this backpack). Variants of this style of backpack are used in different armies around the world. The volume according to the labels usually found in these backpacks is rated at 60 liters. The bag has one single large compartment with a hydration bladder (Camelbak) pouch. The back has 2 internal aluminium frame bars and the hip belt is equipped with the so called Berghaus buckle for fast opening. The entire front of the backpack is equipped with MOLLE so that it can be expanded with different bags or equipment. The top of the backpack has a hoisting handle. The front also has a wide grip handle. Both are made out of DPM camouflage fabric while the ARMY models of these backpacks has these handles in olive green.

Condition: From the outside it looks like new. Super fresh and bright camouflage colours as you might expect from a top tier brand as Lowe Alpine. Although closer inspection reveals that the waterproof coating on the inside is crumbling away at some places. Also there is a smal tear at one of the side pockets.
