Description
Original wool coat (aka greatcoat or overcoat) from the Royal Dutch Marine Corps (Part of the Royal Dutch Navy). Not a cheap reproduction but the original thing. Design with the overlapping button closure ensures that no wind can come through. Regular fashion jackets in this style sometimes have buttons with almost no overlap resulting in cold winter weather still comes through. Perfect garment for if you want to wear something in ”army style” but still want to look descent.
This marine corps model differs from regular navy jackets by having egg shaped buttons that bulge out instead of the usual flat buttons. Made from 100% wool with a silk (smooth fabric) liner inside. Classic vintage since the year 1965 is stamped on the label inside the jacket.
