West German army parka

Description

Iconic synthetic fur lined parka in the same style as it was made in the 80’s for the West German army (Bundeswehr). Original German made jacket in almost new condition. Not a recent reproduction.

The fuzzy liner also covers the hood and arms. It’s removable through buttons and snap-fasteners. Two hip pockets, two chest pockets and a inner chest pocket. These jackets were in production from the 60’s until the early 90’s. After that the Bundeswehr started to use Flecktarn camouflage. Soon after that commercial producers started to make copies of these jackets for the army surplus store market. The later often without the German flag on the upper sleeves.

This particular jacket has no army markings or NSN number written on the labels inside the jacket. However it is marked with the name of a renowned German Army contractor and the best known maker of these jackets: Marquardt Schulz. Maybe this jacket was used by law enforcement organisations such as police or forest surveillance.
