Description
Classic field spade or shovel made of metal and a wood. Marked AMES 1945. This field spade was reused in the Dutch army after WW2. The pouch is dated 1973 and from a slightly different design as the original WW2 pouch. After WW2 the Dutch army used a mix and match from British, US and Canadian WW2 equipment. Both from left behind WW2 stock piles and reproductions. Sometimes with a slightly different design.

Condition: Field spade is in superb condition. The canvas pouch however has a ripped seem.
