Description
Slightly different design than other UK army trousers. The hip pockets can be closed with Velcro. Further down the hips are two large cargo pockets. On the right front side there is a small pocket for a field dressing. A little feature that was carried over from the classic woollen Battle Dress uniforms as used in WW2. At the backside is also a small pocket. At the bottom there is Velcro to create a extra wide opening for allowing you to put the trousers on without removing your boots. There is no drawstring at the waist that can be used to tighten the trousers. There are two small straps at each hip to adjust the waist circumference. However only with one button so that the user has to replace that button to tighten the waist size. Other UK army trouser models such as the Lightweight and Tropical lightweight trousers have two buttons sewn on at each adjustment strap. All buttons are from the classic sewn on type. Later the British army switched to the so called Canadian buttons that are sewn on the garment with a extra piece op flat rope.
