Essential seal to keep pressure on the tank of a liquid fuelled stove.

Description

Loosing pressure in liquid fuelled stoves is often caused by a fuel cap that doesn’t close tight enough. When the pressure drops the stove usually stops working. Replacing the old stiff rubber will usually solve this problem and turns a not working stove into a working stove. The old rubber can be removed with a sharp object. Heating the rubber by holding the fuel cap in a flame might be helpful in removing the old rubber seal. Very often you’ll find that the old rubber was completely brittle instead of soft and elastic. No wonder that it didn’t provide a airtight closure.

Will fit on a variety of stoves such as Primus 96/97, SVEA 123/123R, Optimus  111, Optimus 8/8R some versions of the Primus 71. It will also fit on the reserve cap that is connected with a chain to the main fuel cap on stoves such as the Primus 210.

Size:  Outer diameter 18 mm, Inner diameter 10 mm.

Condition: New unused item. Made of Viton for extra heat and chemical resistance.
